EVEN és un projecte del Programa Europa per als Ciutadans que té com a objectiu aprofundir el debat sobre el paper del voluntariat en el suport a les xicotetes comunitats en un món canviant. Se centra en el paper de les xarxes i fomenta noves formes de compromís cívic i democràtic, tancant la bretxa entre els governs, les autoritats locals i els ciutadans de la UE, estimulant la participació activa dels ciutadans i la seua comprensió del procés d'elaboració de polítiques, contrarestant la sensació de passivitat i malentés que sovint condueix a la propaganda negativa i a l'euroescepticisme.
EVEN té com a objectiu utilitzar un enfocament multinivell per a empoderar als ciutadans europeus perquè participen en el procés d'elaboració de polítiques per a impulsar el canvi i construir el futur d'Europa.
El públic objectiu del projecte eren joves voluntaris, parts interessades, AP, organitzacions cíviques i treballadors juvenils.
El projecte va involucrar a 19 socis en 17 països (HU, CZ, PL, PT, ÉS, CY, EL, MT, EM, LT, IT, AL, RO, DE, BG, SI, FR)
Els objectius de EVEN eren:
-Fomentar la creació de xarxes i la fertilització creuada de les millors pràctiques en el voluntariat i el compromís cívic;
-Promoure el voluntariat com a eina de participació ciutadana a nivell local, nacional i comunitari;
-Permetre que els voluntaris busquen suport i creuen estratègies de resiliència, fins i tot a través de la cooperació internacional i el finançament de la UE;
-Combatre l'euroescepticisme fomentant la comprensió dels ciutadans sobre la UE i el procés de presa de decisions;
-Reconéixer i fomentar les activitats de voluntariat transfronterer a la UE;
-Promoure el debat i la cooperació multinivell entre els ciutadans i les autoritats públiques per a aconseguir un major reconeixement del valor de les activitats de voluntariat;
-Millorar les condicions per a la participació cívica i democràtica a nivell europeu a través de la participació ciutadana en les activitats de EVEN;
-Rebre propostes des de baix per al futur d'Europa;
-Crear una xarxa estable de cooperació transfronterera.

EVEN is a project under the Europe for Ciotizens Programme that aims to deepen the debate on the role of volunteering in supporting small communities in a changing world. It focuses on the role of networks and encourages new forms of civic and democratic engagement, bridging the gap between governments, local authorities and EU citizens, stimulating active involvement of citizens and their understanding of the policy-making process, counteracting the feeling of passivity and misunderstanding that often leads to negative propaganda and Euroscepticism.
EVEN aims to use a multilevel approach to empower European citizens to participate in the policy-making process to trigger change and build Europe's future.
The target audience for the project were young volunteers, stakeholders, PAs, civic organizations and youth workers.
The project involved 19 partners in 17 countries (HU, CZ, PL, PT, ES, CY, EL, MT, ME, LT, IT, AL, RO, DE, BG, SI, FR)
EVEN's objectives were:
-Fostering networking and cross-fertilization of best practices in volunteering and civic engagement;
-Promote volunteering as a tool for civic participation at local, national and community levels;
-Enabling volunteers to seek support and create resilience strategies, including through international cooperation and EU funding;
-Fighting euroscepticism by promoting citizens' understanding of the EU and the decision-making process;
-Recognizing and encourage cross-border volunteer activities in the EU;
-Promoting multi-level debate and cooperation between citizens and public authorities to achieve greater recognition of the value of voluntary activities;
-Improving conditions for civic and democratic participation at the European level through citizen involvement in EVEN activities;
-Receiving proposals from below for the future of Europe;
-Creating a stable network for cross-border cooperation.
