https://pedreguer.es/es/activa-participacio-de-pedreguer-en-la-21ena-setmana-de-les-regions-i-les-ciutats-a-brusselles : en este encuentro, el alcalde ha presentado diferentes proyectos financiados por la Unión Europea en los que participa el municipio, entre ellos la iniciativa recientemente lanzada, OlympicKids, que permitirá a jóvenes de Pedreguer y otros territorios aprender y sensibilizarse en materia de igualdad y solidaridad a través de la práctica deportiva. Este proyecto finalizará con la participación de una delegación de Pedreguer en un encuentro en París en 2024, en el marco de los próximos juegos olímpicos. / At this meeting, the mayor presented different projects financed by the European Union in which the municipality participates, among them the recently launched initiative, OlympicKids, which will allow young people from Pedreguer and other territories to learn and raise awareness about equality and solidarity through sports practice. This project will end with the participation of a Pedreguer delegation in a meeting in Paris in 2024, within the framework of the next Olympic Games.
En los últimos años, organizaciones europeas e internacionales han trabajado profundamente para definir esta situación: el papel del deporte en el desarrollo de talentos como herramienta para promover el cambio social y promover su uso para alcanzar fines sociales. Sin embargo, todavía hay que realizar muchas mejoras.
El objetivo principal del proyecto es hacer comprender la importancia de la actividad física que promueve la salud a través de actividades de voluntariado en el deporte, la inclusión social, la igualdad de oportunidades y el aumento de la participación en el deporte y la igualdad de acceso al deporte. Con el proyecto 'Kids Running Towards The Olympics', queremos dar a conocer los Juegos Olímpicos a los niños en riesgo de exclusión social con socios de 7 países (Turquía, Grecia, Italia, Eslovenia, Moldavia, Bosnia y Herzegovina y España), integrar en vida social y permitirles ser activos físicamente en el atletismo. Queremos implementar el proyecto OlympicKids como una oportunidad educativa importante, especialmente para los niños, para crear una sociedad de la UE integrada con los valores olímpicos, con los principios de igualdad, sostenibilidad, humanidad, universalidad, solidaridad, deporte, educación y juego limpio. Dirigido a niños de 7 a 14 años con el objetivo de adoptar un deporte de futuro y un estilo de vida activo y unirlos con los valores olímpicos desde temprana edad, OlympicKids será el primer toque para transformar y adoptar el deporte en un estilo de vida.

With the ‘Kids Running Towards The Olympics’ project, we want to introduce the Olympics to children at risk of social exclusion with partners from 7 countries (Turkey, Greece, Italy, Slovenia, Moldova, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Spain), integrate them into social life and enable them to be physically active in athletics. We want to implement the OlympicKids project as an important educational opportunity, especially for children, in order to create an EU society integrated with Olympic values, with the principles of equality, sustainability, humanity, universality, solidarity, sports, education and fair play. Targeting children in the 7-14 age group with the aim of adopting a forward-looking sport and an active lifestyle and bringing them together with Olympic values at an early age, OlympicKids will be the first touch to transform and embrace sports into a lifestyle.
